Although we are wedding photographers who specialize in wedding photography in Los Angeles and Orange County, we encourage the idea of destination weddings. In my opinion, destination weddings are two-for-one deals. Despite the extra work that is involved, you actually get to have what seems to be two vacations! The destination wedding can be categorized as the first vacation, then the honeymoon following the wedding can be the second vacation. See the logic? =) Documentary photojournalism is a style of photography that has minimal intrusion. Similar to a media photographer recording a news event, the wedding photographer will rarely suggest traditional poses. Instead, the documentary photojournalist will simply record the events of the wedding day. I personally like to call it, “a fly on the wall technique.”
Wedding photojournalism is similar to documentary photjournalism – except it has an artistic approach. A wedding photographer may lay on the floor, hop on a chair or tilt the camera to photograph a wedding. Different planes of field offer different perspectives. It adds richness to all of the wedding pictures.
